The Speedster Training System Has 20th Birthday

(ContentDesk) October 30, 2005 -- A professional speed enhancement device and program will start it 21st year in helping athletes this week. Tim Newman, a 1985 graduate of Lawson High School in Lawson MO, played football for the Cardinals. As a starting Quarterback and Cornerback, Tim was always looking to become faster. Tim tried many different devices but none of them worked, so he designed and developed the Speedster Training System. The Speedster was a simple design at first with just a harness and rope dragging a couple of old tires across the football field.

Today, the Speedster has the same philosophy but a much better design. This total resistance device along with training program has changed the live of athletes around the world. In 1989 Tim started a company called Greater Performance Inc (GPI-USA). This company is responsible for many different sports related training products, but the Speedster is the root of most of the others. Some household names like, Rich Gannon NFL Quarterback of the Oakland Raiders, Robbie Glantz NHL trainer and owner of Robby Glantz International Power Skating, JJ McQueen former Strength and Conditioning coach of the Dallas Stars have all made statements giving the Speedster credit for a lot of there success.
Rich Gannon starting using the Speedster in Mid 90s when Dave Redding (Redman), former Strength and Conditioning coach for the Kansas City Chiefs, started using the Speedster Training System with the Chiefs.

Rich adapted to it quickly. By the next season, Gannon noticed a difference in his speed and quickness. NFL fans did as well as Gannon was named to the Pro Bowl for 4 straight years (2000 thru 2003), winning MVP honors the last two years. In 2002 Tim received a phone call from Rich Gannon. Rich wanted him to know that he believed the Speedster Training System had much to do with his success.

Gannon states, "If you need to increase your speed and quickness, then you need the Speedster Training System - it works for me".The GPI-USA products were designed to develop foot speed and quickness by combining resistance and over-speed training. Completely adjustable, there products fit all athletes. You will not find better quality in training products. In the competitiveness of today's athletics, speed is everything. Along with becoming faster, you will greatly increase your quickness, agility, endurance and overall leg strength.GPI-USA has been located in Cameron, Missouri for the last 16 years and offers there products over the internet at speedster.com.
